Awards Season Glamour! Get the Look - Pantene Pro-V for Maite Perroni at Premios Lo Nuestro 2013

Awards season may be over, but the looks are timeless!!! So I wanted to do a series of posts featuring some of my fav looks from awards season and the brands that helped to create them. Premios Lo Nuestro is one of the hottest awards shows honoring hispanic/latin artists and celebrating their music. At the event, their is a high profile red carpet with some of the biggest names in the industry participating. One of my all time fav looks was featured on the gorgeous latin soap star, Maite Perroni. She looked flawless in a long, silver gown with sleek, flowing hair. As a spokesperson for Pantene's beautiful lengths collection, she has the most beautiful hair and it made a statement at this event. Here is the scoop on how she got the look:
(Miami, FL) – February 21, 2013 -- The top Latino artists in entertainment gathered at the American Airlines Arena in downtown Miami, Florida for Univision’s annual prestige awards, Premio Lo Nuestro. Amongst these stars was the beautiful actress/singer Maite Perroni, advocate of Pantene’s Beautiful Lengths program. Maite Perroni walked the red carpet to ‘Best Dressed’ reviews and also presented the Tropical Merengue category award. Maite is currently working on her next album in NYC and she definitely loves merengue! Maite’s beauty glam look was created by Gabriel Samra, celebrity hairstylist for Pantene. Gabriel used our new Pantene Pro-V Stylers Collection, as endorsed by Danilo (top global hairstylist). As soon as Maite walked the red carpet she instantly became a global trending topic on Twitter.

how to get Maite Perroni’s trend-setting hair look at Premio Lo
Nuestro in three simple steps. · Inspiration: “Maite always makes heads turn when she gets to the red carpet and for me it is great to work with such beautiful healthy hair. For tonight, we decided to leave behind the wavy hair look and go with a smooth and sophisticated straight hair look that makes a bold statement and is the perfect complement to her sexy metallic dress. What is most exciting about this look is that it sets the tone and anticipates the upcoming trends for Fall 2013,” said Gabriel.

Step 1: To start the transformation, I blow-dried her hair using a big round brush to straighten from root to tip.

Step 2: Once dry, I separated her hair in
top and bottom layers, clipping the top layer to keep it out of the way.
Then, I sectioned the bottom layer in 2-inch sections and sprayed with
Pantene Pro-V Stylers Heat Protection Spray
to protect from heat damage and enhance shine. Using a flat iron, I
straightened each section from root to tip, taking 3-5 seconds per
section. Once the bottom layer of her hair was completely flattened, I
repeated the above steps to the top layer.

Step 3: For the finishing touches, I used a comb to smooth and put hair in desired place. Finally, I sprayed
Pantene Pro-V Stylers Flexible Hold Hair Spray throughout because its flexible hold maintains hair’s natural movement and makes the look seem effortless!
