Happy St. Patrick's Day....It ain't easy being green!!!
9:39 PMHello to my gorgeous stalkers and I hope you are having a lovely St. Patrick's Day full of love and laughter with those you make you smile!! In the spirit of this color induced holiday, I thought that I would let you in on a few of amazing natural skincare tips using something green! I spend a lot of time watching and reading about all sorts of amazing things that can truly keep you healthy and they are usually right in your kitchen cabinet. So without further delay, I want you all to take notice of a little item called Green Tea. It's not just for drinking anymore. Green tea is jam packed with antioxidants that are amazing for the skin. It can be rejuvenating and also filled with anti aging natural ingredients. I have combination/oily skin and really find green tea to be soothing as well as helpful to any acne that I get. You can tons of at home recipes for masks, cleansers, etc all using green tea. I can definitely tell you from experience that it makes your skin feel AMAZING!! So with this in mind I wanted to share a couple of my favorite at home all natural skin recipes that I have learned:
1) Green Tea Toner:
I learned about this from amazing makeup artist and YouTube Guru Leesha aka @xsparkage and it works beautifully.
1 part Apple Cider Vinegar
1 part Witch Hazel
3 parts green tea
Mix them together and place in a bottle that you can just use for everyday as an after cleansing toner. It revitalizes the skin and also helps with blemishes. I can't live without it.
2) Green Tea Ice facial
I learned from another amazing makeup artist and YouTube Guru Michelle Phan aka @ricebunny.
1 glass of steeped green tea
5 capsules of vitamin E
Once you have the steeped tea ready, poke a hole into each capsule of vitamin E and squeeze the liquid into the green tea. Then mix together. Once mixed, pour contents into an ice tray and freeze into popsicles. Use tooth picks and insert into the centers to be able to pull them out when frozen. After frozen pull one out and rub all over cleansed face. It can be done either in the morning or evening. This is amazing for the pores, it reduces redness and is extremely rejuvenating for the skin.
3) Green Tea facial spritz
This is my last must have and something I always keep in the house. Living in Miami, there is a lot of humidity and heat that can be draining and crazy on the skin. Using a travel sized spray bottle, I just fill it with green tea and keep it in the fridge. If I am going out where I will be in the sun or heat, I will take it and use it to freshen up and spritz my face. This is great for freshening up the skin and helps with controlling oil.
I encourage you all to go online and search for all kinds of at home recipes. Sometimes you can find the most amazing ingredients right in your home. So I hope that these tips are helpful for you all and I wish you an amazing and safe St. Paddy's Day! Let me know of any go to natural recipes that you use.
Thanks for subscribing!!! Xoxo
